Importance of open schooling in India

The national institute of open schooling , which is now called national open school is board of education under the indian government . The system was set up by the government of india in the year 1989 to increase literacy in the country by providing education to remote area students and increase flexibility in learning . The institute also offers vocation courses after the high school . Though , the aim of the open school was to set up distance learning system , the institute provides education at the secondary and senior secondary level , which is equivalent to CBSE 

The exams are held twice a year in the first half of year and in second part of the year . However , the candidates can also take part in the on the demand examinations in those subjects . In which he or she has taken admission in the open school centre .
 
How it helps students – the candidates who have failed in the school exams can take part in the exam after the result of the regular school exams . The candidate can also take the marks of the subjects in which he or she has passed to the open school exams . This helps a candidate Correspondence Courses in Delhi to save one year by passing the exam from the open school instead of spending one full year at the regular school to reappear at the exam of the failed class .

There is another provision in the stream 3 & 4 , which allows a candidate to reappear at exams conducted every month , except in the months of exam , when main exams are held. This means that there are 8 exams a year for a candidate to pass any subject .

All the documents s and certificates given by the open school has seal of the government of india on them . This gives authenticity and genuiness to the exams passed by the candidate and marksheet obtained by them . This means that no university or college can reject the admission of any candidate passed through the open schooling system . The objection to a candidate from open school means that challenging the ministry of human resources .
 
The students passed from the Open School Admission in Delhi open schooling system can take part in the medical and engineering colleges of states as well as can sit in the competitive exams like IIT JEE, PMT or other such exams .They can also go for any professional and technical course in indian university or any institute in foreign countries .
